Investment funds managed by Morgan Stanley Capital Partners (“MSCP”), the middle-market focused private equity team at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, has acquired American Restoration, which provides residential and commercial property mitigation and restoration services. MSCP is partnering with the current management team led by CEO Dan Tarantin, who will continue to lead the business.
Headquartered in Dallas, American Restoration operates across 10 states through eight regional brands. The company provides emergency and loss-related mitigation services as well as complementary follow-on repair and rebuild services to both residential and commercial customers. American Restoration has grown into a leading platform in the industry through a combination of strong organic growth, strategic M&A, and a focus on customers in their time of need.

The acquisition of American Restoration represents MSCP’s fifth residential and commercial services investment following partnerships with Sila Heating & Air Conditioning, Fairway Lawns, Allstar Services and RowCal.
